Read of the week: Poet couture
Seldom do I get to geek out about poetry and dresses in one go, but poet Amanda Gorman, both in her person and in this Vogue cover article, allows me to do just that. She has a style both in her words and her bearing that is absolutely unique.
“I’ve learned that it’s okay to be afraid. And what’s more, it’s okay to seek greatness,” she says in this interview/profile with Doreen St. Felix. “That does not make me a black hole seeking attention. It makes me a supernova.”
No wonder Gorman has inspired the country this year, even those who are not into poetry. Or couture, for that matter. (And I don’t have the rights to the cover image, of course, but you must check out the Dior dress.)
